Part of the unique experience of a small town is strolling through the downtown. With new, not-so-new and long established businesses Tweed is the ideal location for these much needed, time honoured and extraordinary establishments to thrive.

Long established businesses chose Tweed to open their doors and when you browse through these unique stores you will know why they have remained in business for decades.

There are too many businesses to list so take an afternoon to visit and browse Tweed’s lovely and eclectic shops where helpful, friendly, customer service is bar none.

Municipality of Tweed

A part of any visit is the opportunity to see the local attractions that make a community so very unique.

Tweed is home to not only North America’s smallest jailhouse which doubles as a tourist information booth during the summer, and a heritage centre that is second to none, but we also have what could be the most beautiful fire hydrants in Canada! Each of our fire hydrants (and there are MANY) has been painted with a unique theme. Visit the jailhouse to discover what other attractions and adventures await you in the Municipality of Tweed.

Grab your camera and find the dragon, hockey player, night in shining armour, and of course Elvis!
